KIDS CLASSES

We are excited to provide kids dance classes incorporating Yoga and mindfulness to build confidence and improve physical literacy through dance and movement.

These supportive classes are intended to be a fun space for kids to express themselves and learn tools to help navigate challenging times.

We are currently offering Kids programming with a number community partners.

Please email us if you would like to bring us to your community for a semester, workshop, or special event!

We have qualified instructors available to teach in English, Spanish, Italian, and Russian!

 

Wiggly Worms (Ages 3-5)

Have fun while exploring movement to music. This class is designed to allow for exploration, self-expression, improvisation, and play while learning rhythm through movement. Each class will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to learn self-calming techniques and build confidence.

Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear they can easily move in.

 

Dancing Dragons (Ages 4-6)

Have fun while exploring movement to music. This class is designed to allow for exploration, self-expression, improvisation, and play while learning rhythm through movement. Dragons will be introduced to dance basics while leaving enough room for exploration. Classes will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to learn self-calming techniques and build confidence.

Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear they can easily move in.

 

Latin Beats (Ages 6-9)

Have fun while exploring movement to Latin music. This class is designed to allow for self-expression, improvisation, and play as well as learning some basic steps to common Latin dances (Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Cha-Cha).  Each class will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to support self-calming and build confidence.

Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear they can easily move in. Jazz shoes or non-marking sneakers without a strong grip are recommended.

 

Latin Groove (10-12)

Have fun while exploring movement to Latin music. This class is designed to allow for self-expression, improvisation, and play as well as learning basic steps to some common Latin dances (Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Cha-Cha). Each class will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to support self-calming and build confidence.

Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear they can easily move in. Jazz shoes or non-marking sneakers without a strong grip are recommended.

Gender-neutral, pre-ballet class is designed to introduce ballet basics and build physical literacy through ballet inspired moves and allow space for self-expression, improvisation, and play.

Each class will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to support self-calming and build confidence.

Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear, ballet or jazz shoes are recommended but not required.

 

Twinkle Toes (6-9)

Gender-neutral, pre-ballet class is designed to introduce ballet basics and build physical literacy through ballet inspired moves and allow space for self-expression, improvisation, and play.

Each class will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to support self-calming and build confidence.

Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear, ballet or jazz shoes are recommended but not required.

Have fun moving and grooving to upbeat Latin and Pop Music! Classes will incorporate basic dance steps and allow space for self-expression, improvisation, and flexibility.

Each class will end with an age appropriate mindfulness exercise to support self-calming and build confidence.

No previous dance experience required! Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear they can easily move in.

 

Dance Fitness (16+)

Have fun moving and grooving to upbeat Latin and Pop Music! Classes will incorporate basic dance steps and allow space for self-expression, improvisation, and flexibility. Each class will end with a mindfulness exercise to support connection to breath.

No previous dance experience required!  Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear they can easily move in.
